Product Overview & Application Area
The GEMA hygienic storage tank FKS 300 is a standing fresh water combination storage tank with a net capacity of 319 l. It combines the function of a heating buffer tank with hygienic domestic hot water heating via an internal stainless steel corrugated pipe.
The storage tank is suitable for heating systems in which heating water is to be stored and domestic hot water is to be heated on demand using the flow-through principle. Thanks to the lower heat exchanger, the storage tank can be integrated into suitable system concepts with additional heat generators or system components.
Technology & Equipment
The FKS 300 features a storage tank for heating water, a stainless steel corrugated pipe for domestic hot water heating, and a lower heat exchanger with a surface area of 1.2 m². The heating surface of the stainless steel corrugated pipe is 5 m². The storage tank is designed for a maximum operating pressure of 5 bar, and the maximum operating temperature is 95 °C.
For hydraulic integration, 8 charging and discharging connections with 1 1/2" female thread, 4 sensor and controller connections with 1/2" female thread, and one vent connection with 1 1/4" female thread are available. Two connections for electric heating elements with 1 1/2" female thread are provided.
Everyday Benefits
Domestic hot water heating via the stainless steel corrugated pipe supports hygienic hot water preparation without permanently storing domestic hot water in the storage tank. At the same time, the storage tank provides heating water for the system and can therefore be used as a central component in compact heating and hot water solutions.
With a base diameter of 600 mm without insulation and a height of 1,300 mm, the FKS 300 remains comparatively compact. The available EPS insulation variants allow insulation to be adapted to the desired configuration.
System Integration & Compatibility
The lower heat exchanger allows the integration of additional heat generators or system components as part of appropriate system planning. The tank is intended for operation with heating water on the tank side and for domestic hot water heating via the stainless steel corrugated pipe.
When using a heating cartridge, only the designated connections may be used. Safety valves, expansion vessels, venting, and fittings must be designed to suit the respective system.

Installation
The storage tank is set up standing on a load-bearing, level surface and aligned vertically. Sufficient space must be planned for installation, maintenance, sensors, connections, and insulation. The tilting dimension without insulation is 1,300 mm.
The insulation should only be installed after the tank has been set up and the connection positions have been checked. Unused connections must be properly sealed.
Notes
Installation, connection, and commissioning may only be carried out by qualified personnel. The storage tank may only be operated within the specified pressure and temperature limits and in frost-free indoor areas.
The drinking water connections must be executed in accordance with applicable hygiene and installation regulations. Operating pressure, operating temperature, tightness, and safety valves must be checked regularly.
