Product Overview & Application Area
The GEMA FKS 2000 is a standing hygienic storage tank with a net capacity of 1,976 liters and no heat exchanger. It combines a heating buffer tank with a stainless steel corrugated pipe for hygienic domestic hot water heating and is suitable for larger heating systems with high storage requirements.
With a height of 2,060 mm and a width of 1,200 mm and a depth of 1,200 mm without insulation, the tank offers a large buffer volume for technical systems where heat generation, heating water storage, and domestic hot water heating are to be cleanly combined.
Technology & Equipment
The FKS 2000 features a stainless steel corrugated pipe for domestic hot water heating as well as a lower heat exchanger with an area of 3.5 m². The storage tank is designed for a maximum operating pressure of 3 bar and a maximum operating temperature of 95 °C.
For hydraulic integration, charging and discharging connections, sensor and controller connections, a vent, connections for the stainless steel corrugated pipe, and two connections for electric heating elements are available. Heating cartridges may only be installed in the designated connection stubs.
Everyday Benefits
Domestic hot water heating is carried out via the stainless steel corrugated pipe, so no classic hot water reserve needs to be stored in the tank. At the same time, the large tank capacity provides a high thermal buffer capacity for the heating system.
Through the combination of buffer tank, stainless steel corrugated pipe, and lower heat exchanger, the FKS 2000 can be integrated into technically demanding heating systems where multiple system components are intended to work together effectively.
System Integration & Compatibility
The lower heat exchanger can be used to integrate additional heat generators or system components. The domestic water side is connected via the stainless steel corrugated pipe, while the storage side is intended for heating water.
The insulation is available depending on the variant. For the FKS 2000, a 100 mm EPS insulation and a 130 mm EPS insulation are planned. The 130 mm EPS insulation achieves energy efficiency class B, the 100 mm EPS insulation energy efficiency class C.

Installation
The storage tank must be set up in a stable, vertical position on a load-bearing surface. For transport, installation, and connection, the tilting dimension without insulation of 2,120 mm must be taken into account.
The insulation should only be installed after the tank has been set up and the connection positions have been checked. Unused connections must be properly sealed.
Notes
Assembly, connection and commissioning may only be carried out by qualified personnel. Safety valves, expansion vessels, venting and fittings must be designed to suit the respective system.
The permissible operating limits of 3 bar at the storage tank and 95 °C operating temperature must not be exceeded. For drinking water connections, the applicable hygiene and installation regulations must be observed.
