Product Overview & Application Area
The HKS Lazar Vacum is a pneumatic pellet conveying system for automatic fuel supply from a separate pellet storage to the pellet boiler. The system is designed as additional equipment for the HKS Lazar SmartFire and reduces the manual refilling of the boiler's own pellet container.
The fuel can be suctioned from different storage variants, for example from a silo, bag silo, underground container, or a correspondingly prepared pellet storage room. Depending on the system setup, the pellets are extracted via one or more suction probes. The transport to the boiler is pneumatic via the connected conveying lines.
Technology & Function
The central component of the Vacum system is the suction unit. A motor-driven turbine generates the negative pressure required for pellet transport. The pellets are suctioned from the pellet storage and transported into the filling hopper of the suction unit. From there, they pass through an airlock into the boiler's fuel container.
During the suction process, the airlock ensures the required tightness of the system. A limit switch monitors its respective position and thus enables the coordinated control of the conveying process.
In the SmartFire, the suction unit forms an independent additional module and is mounted on the top of the fuel container in place of the container lid. The housing of the suction unit consists of powder-coated steel plates and also accommodates the control system of the pneumatic pellet conveying system.
Automatic Pellet Supply
The Vacum system enables automatic refilling of the boiler container from a spatially separated pellet storage. This allows a significantly larger pellet supply to be used without having to regularly transport the fuel to the boiler by hand and fill it into the boiler container.
In addition to automatic operation, depending on the boiler control used, manual activation of the suction process or a function test of the suction unit is also possible.
Flexible pellet extraction from the storage room
Three versions are available for pellet extraction. Depending on the size and layout of the pellet storage room, the Vacum system can be equipped with one, three, or five suction probes. With multiple extraction points, pellet intake can be distributed within a suitably designed pellet storage room.
In the GEMA shop, selection is made via the variant "Distributor".
Distributor: single
1 × Vacum suction unit
10 meters of hose
1 × suction probe
The simple version works with a single suction probe and is suitable for pellet storage rooms where a central extraction point is planned.
Distributor: triple
1 × Vacuum suction unit
10 meters of hose
3 × suction probes
1 × 3-way distributor
In the triple version, three suction probes are available. This allows multiple extraction points to be used within the pellet storage.
Distributor: five-way
1 × Vacuum suction unit
10 meters of hose
5 × suction probes
1 × 5-way distributor
The five-fold version features five suction probes, enabling pellet extraction from five extraction points within a correspondingly configured pellet storage.
System Integration & Compatibility
The Vacum pneumatic pellet conveying system is intended for use with HKS Lazar SmartFire and InterFire. With SmartFire, the suction unit is an additional feature of the boiler and is mounted as a standalone module on the fuel container.
With InterFire, on the other hand, the Vacum system is already part of the standard equipment and forms an integral part of the boiler. For the separately offered accessory, the configuration or expansion of a suitable SmartFire system is therefore particularly relevant.
Technical Data at a Glance
The most important technical data of the HKS Lazar Vacum pellet conveying system at a glance:

Installation
With an HKS Lazar SmartFire, the Vacum suction unit is mounted on the top of the fuel container in place of the existing container lid. The lines for pellet conveying and return air are then connected to the suction unit and the respective pellet storage or extraction system.
The electrical connections as well as the integration and setting of the boiler control must be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and by a qualified person.
During installation, ensure that the motor's ventilation openings remain unobstructed. The distance from the ventilation openings to the component above or to the ceiling must be at least 50 mm.
Notes
The suction unit is not intended for outdoor operation and must not be used in areas with explosion hazard. The conveying system may only be used with the fuels intended by the manufacturer.
Before commissioning, check, among other things, the correct air flow direction, the installation of the pellet extraction, the pellet flow, and the function of the rotary valve.
Before assembly, maintenance, or inspection work on the pneumatic conveying system, the device must be disconnected from the power supply. For installation, operation, and controller settings, the installation and operating instructions of the Vacum system as well as the documents of the boiler used are authoritative.
