Complete solution for hygienic and efficient hot water preparation: The 100-liter domestic hot water tank ETWS combines a powerful internal heat exchanger with corrosion protection and a large magnesium anode. The system is complemented by the OWR1 SMART heating element 3 kW with integrated Wi-Fi app control for flexible, on-demand reheating.
Hot water tank – design and function
The tank heats Drinking water centrally via a highly efficient plate heat exchanger (area 1.2 m², content 5.27 L) and is designed for coupling with solar thermal systems, heating boilers, or solid fuel systems. A circulation connection option and the preparation for a 1 1/2" electric heating element make the tank versatile.

Corrosion protection and insulation
Inside, a high-quality enamel coating protects the drinking water tank, supplemented by a large magnesium sacrificial anode. The thermal insulation made of rigid polyurethane foam (PUR) reduces heat losses and improves energy efficiency.
OWR1 SMART heating element 3 kW – Overview
The retrofittable heating element with 3.0 kW power is to be installed horizontally and has a 1 1/2" male thread connection. The nickel coating ensures durability, and delivery with a Schuko plug facilitates commissioning without fixed wiring.

Power 3.0 kW at 230 V, installation length 345 mm, controller adjustable from approx. 10 °C to approx. 75 °C, safety temperature limiter 85 °C. Installation horizontally via the 1 1/2" thread; the compact design requires an installation space corresponding to the installation length.
Operating modes and app control
The heating element offers manual mode, ECO mode (factory setting 55 °C), intelligent mode with learning function, schedule mode (hourly/daily/weekly), away mode, boost function, as well as frost protection and anti-legionella cycles. Via WLAN and app, temperature, schedules, and operating modes can be controlled worldwide.
Safety and hygiene
Automatic protective functions such as frost protection, anti-legionella cycle (30 minutes at 60 °C every 15 days), and a mechanical temperature limiter at 85 °C ensure hygienic and safe operation. Permanent temperature monitoring minimizes risks for the system and users.

For safe and standards-compliant commissioning, observe the installation position of the heating element (horizontal), the prescribed installation length of 345 mm, and the connection sizes.
